Here's the story: MC leaves the organization he's part of and therefore needs to cloak every bit of himself because he knows that when they find out why/how he left, they're going to want to find him.

- There's magic involved: scrying, psionic searching through psionic signatures, magical imprints (everyone that casts leaves a certain signature that stays behind for a few minutes) etc.

- There's technology involved: Blood Identification, etc.

So in other words, he has to change everything. How would that be possible?

I was thinking of a chameleon device that changes everything except for personality - a character retcon, so to speak. Even memory, but I'd like input since I'd rather keep his memories intact for the later parts.

We need to know the rules of the magic and the capabilities of the technology.

Is it, for example, possible to have him swap bodies with some unfortunate donor? Magically/technologically all the memories he had have to be moved over as well, so he keeps his mental history. Everything else, however, has changed.

I was contemplating the body swap. At birth, everyone is identified and tracked because of how scarce the population has become, so finding a donor, exorcising the soul and spirit, and replacing it with the character might be the best option. (But later, after he's hospitalized and questioned, he'll have to answer to the donor's background, so that might be . . . complicated.) Thanks!
