Anyone able to get anything else done in April?

I was able to shot/edit short video, and if it's not too shameless a promotion, I'd love for any other ScriptFrenzy'ers to give it a look. After all, not so much hectic writing on the schedule anymore.

I designed and made a signet ring for myself, attended a group social, took part in a stained glass class, did some looking for summer work, worked a part time job. drew a hand drawn maze each day, designed a greeting card, wrote four other scripts ontop of my winner (the goal was 100,000 split over 5 scripts), got some reading in but nowhere near my prefered amount, dealt well enough with my chronic illness, managed to take care of my chores as well as usual for a guy trust me clean and guy clean are not synonymes.

I also managed to come up with ideas for more projects and stories to persue in the near future.

I did a little drawing, and I edited my '07 NaNoWriMo some but not enough. In the latter case, I was blocked, and that block hurt my Screnzy effort as well. I'm currently plotting the complete rewrite of my '06 NaNo novel for MayNoWriMo at NaNoPubYe.

I was so preoccupied first with the inability of Bad Company (my '07 NaNo novel) to come together, then with the Screnzy catchup effort that ran away with me in the end, that I didn't get around to doing much else. Now, even as I write 50,000 words of Black Science (that should be easier now that my Muse is now back in the battle), I need to improve my drawing drastically if I want to do well pencilling the first 30 pages of Spanner #1 for NaNoMangO.

Let's see...now that April is over I can answer this question! lol Firstly, I learned how to save a document as a PDF and successfully send it through the SF validator. lol Seriously...I conducted an active job search, applied to grad school, maintained somewhat of a social life, managed to keep enough laundry and dishes done that we survived through April, kept my animals fed so they didn't die either, paid the bills....that's about it. LOVED SF! Congrats to everyone on however much writing you did.

I brainstormed the novel I'll be writing in November a little bit (I'm still trying to get all the details hammered out). I crocheted a tiny dress for a small doll (all I have left to do is the collar). I plotted out how I want the series I started during Screnzy to progress, since I plan to keep at it until the story is finished... so I can move on to the next part of the character's history (maybe by next year, I'll be ready to make that script). Not much else... although I somehow managed to keep my apartment what passes for clean most of the month.

I learned to loom knit on my handy-dandy Knifty Knitter Loom, studied hiragana(Japanese), dealt with our family getting our first kitten(resident Chihuahua was not pleased), dealt with my younger brother getting poison ivy, learned to follow patterns, planned a webcomic, and had a week of fun watching movies when my dad went on a trip for his job.

This April was fun! :)

I had a lousy April. I worked with an operaproduction (which is still going on), I broke up with my boyfriend, lost one of my friends over such a stupid thing as a party, tried to convince another friend that he shouldn't kill himself, watched Scrubs seasons 1-3, wrote a script on 114 pages, slept a maximum of 5 hours a day and injured my foot badly and had to use crotches for a week. Anyone else had this kind of April or am I the only one?

Well, my usual work, of course.
I wrote a better beginning for the novel I'm working on.
Reorganized my room.
Bought some new clothes and gave myself a bit of a makeover. (I needed it)
Started working on bass more (learned a few cool bass lines and some scales).
Started learning C++. Already I've done a few scripts that can do basic math (I'm trying to figure out one that works more like a calculator than a simple addition or subtraction thing without any choices).

Well, it's not as much as I would've liked. But, I had a bit of trouble with my usual work, so, I'll call it a win anyways.

I was in the production of The Music Man. It's the reason I didn't win. :(

I'm ecstatic with everything I accomplished in April. In addition to winning Script Frenzy I went to Australia for a couple weeks to compete in the World Masters Championships for synchronized swimming. I came out ranking 10th in the world. I'm very happy about that.

I got to tour Freemantle Prison and Swan Bells. After the competition, I went SCUBA diving on the Great Barrier Reef with a teammate. All in all, it was a very busy month, but wonderful.
