Anyone else turning theirs into a novel?

I am. :)

I like it as a script. Over all, it's pretty decent for a first draft script.

But I have no use for it as said script, so I'm turning it into a novel. Starting now... :)

RE: Anyone else turning theirs into a novel?

My stage play would actually be really interesting as a novel. Something to think about.

NaNo 2005: Can't Go Back (won!)
NaNo 2006: In Between (won!)
Script Frenzy 2008: Razor's Edge (won!)

RE: Anyone else turning theirs into a novel?

One of my scripts would actaully make so much more sense as a novel than it does as a script, so I kind of have to turn it into a novel.

RE: Anyone else turning theirs into a novel?

Well, for mine, you need to know all this background info about the world, Empire, and their history, and you don't get that in the script, and their language, it's a bit different...

RE: Anyone else turning theirs into a novel?

With my episodes of Butterfly, I had contemplated finishing the series and then turning the whole thing into a novel. At the same time, though, the story I adapted from a novel I never finished seems to work better as a script, so I'm not sure at this point.

RE: Anyone else turning theirs into a novel?

Definetely. There's so much in my story that's better explained as a novel than a script, though I'm contemplating keeping it as a script still. Either way, I'll have an awesome story that I can make oodles of dollars from. ^0^

RE: Anyone else turning theirs into a novel?

Yes!

I'm not sure if it is that it would be a better presentation as a novel, but the story I came up with is so fun I have seriously considered turning it into a novel and editing it and submitting it for rejection and hopefully acceptance letters..

So much so I've printed up copies and started handing them to friends and family... which scares the heck out of me.

RE: Anyone else turning theirs into a novel?

I wrote it as a novel first, but never finished (won NaNo, though...just wasted too much time on a bad plot choice). With the story much more hashed out, I might go back and revise the novel. After I write the sequel (the novel will probably be both, since a novel can appropriately span eighteen or so years (from when MC is 20 to when her son is 16) and it feels unnatural to cut off in the middle).

I am also turning it into a musical. Really and truly. I'm excited.

RE: Anyone else turning theirs into a novel?

I will be. I wrote my story as a script first, so it could be a sort of skeleton for the novel version.

RE: Anyone else turning theirs into a novel?

Hrm.. you said something... might consider it. I like it as a script though, might not work out as a novel... but hey, I need to edit and rewrite the script before I say something... thanks for the idea! =)
