Script Frenzy Ate My LIfe

I have a strange dillemna. Without screnzy, I dont remember what I used to do with my time. Its strange! I have nothing to entertain myself with when I have nthing to do. I also have to sleep a full 8 hours every night because I have no deadlines anymore :-(...this leaves me with only one option of studying for finals... basically script frenzy made me realize i have no life. :-(
What are you guys doing to cope with it endign?

RE: Script Frenzy Ate My LIfe

Why don't you see if you can write another 100 pages in a month if you are feeling like you have way to much time on your hands?

I didn't write for the last two weeks of Screnzy anyhow, so I don't feel any different than I did last month. That being said, I still miss writing on a daily bases and I hope I can begin to write again soon.

RE: Script Frenzy Ate My LIfe

Yeah, I know how you feel. I officially finished by April 6, and the rest was just desultory writing, and I still didn't finish either of my scripts.

I agree with the suggestion to try another challenge. A bunch of friends and I are doing just that--100000 words (They are all novelists) in three months--June 1st to August 30th, just to see if we can keep occupied. And, the great part is that lit analyses count!

RE: Script Frenzy Ate My LIfe

Me, I went back to my NaNoWriMo novels and started doing MayNoWriMo at NaNoPubYe. I chose 50,000 words as my word target for Black Science (NaNo '06) while rewriting its prequel, Bad Company (NaNo '07). But I lost a week, so I'm focusing on the 50,000 words and saving the rewrite for later. Next month, I'll finish the second draft of Bad Company (finally!) and rewrite the Spanner script into something i can draw from.

Basically, I wrimo every month, pretty much. If this sounds like "NaNoWriMo Ate My Soul", you're right. ;-)

RE: Script Frenzy Ate My LIfe

yeah not such a big hurdle for me. I'm on a creative binge that has been building since long long ago.

My biggest problem is that in order to do my five scripts I made huge backlogs of things in my life and now that I've had time to get back to them they look a bit like christmas tree lights pulled from storage. Pretty, shiny and promising if I can only figure out where the big tangle starts and where to go from there.

I took a few days time to help me sort out some things and am a bit better off but still trying to get things back in an orderly fashion.
