What do I do when I have a scene which is neither exterior/interior. I want to do a voice-over narration against paintings.

I'm only guessing, but what about a two-column SERIES OF SHOTS - LH with the shots required, RH with the narration and keep the two in sync.

When you get to something this unusual, I don't think there is a 'correct' way any more, you just have to (as always) use the clearest method possible.
