We're writing musicals! And musicals have...music. Okay, yeah, that was lame. But the point is that we musical script writers are a special breed. Most of us write lyrics, if perhaps not the actual music.
So...post song titles, or possible lyrics, or anything else pertaining to the music of your musical.
Any Gay Musicals?
Hey! So this is the forum topic for musicals with gay characters. A.K.A., gay musicals. I mean, gay people and musicals seem to (okay, slightly stereotypically) go hand in hand. And since the world of arts is becoming more gay friendly...there've gotta be more of us Gay!Script writers out there.
What's Your Musical About?
So, musicals can encompass basically all genres. It's just that characters are more likely to provide their own soundtrack via bursting into spontaneous song. Thus, I am curious...what's everybody's musical about?
For example, my Screnzy's going to be about two teenage boys who are rivals, best friends, and lovers, all at the same time. Lots of angst, lots of humor, and lots of singing.
Dramatic Musical Check-In
I know there are others like me out there: people who are writing musicals that make you think about difficult issues, musicals that don't always have a happy ending. I know you all exist, and this is our official check-in!
I'm the kind of person who will take a good dramatic musical over your modern mega-musical any day, so it's no wonder I've been drawn back to writing such a piece for Script Frenzy.
