Janis is standing on the balcony looking out over the manicured lawns and gardens of the palace grounds. He is dressed in somewhat finer attire than before and has obviously been well taken care of during the time he’s spent as a deputy for Orbsen. However he has a pensive look about him, as if he is unsatisfied about something. His gaze focuses on a point far in the distance – the wilds at the edge of the grounds, beyond the palace walls.

I need to hunt.

Janis steps back and his form lengthens as furry scales sprout from all over, eventually covering him. His hair lengthens into the mane of an oriental dragon as his body stretches in kind. Soon where a small dark-haired fey once stood a small black dragon hovers over the balcony.

He flies out into the night, his dark colored body blending seamlessly into the night sky. He flies over the well-maintained palace grounds until he reaches the wilds beyond and circles for sometime searching for a place to land. Finally he circles down and lands in a small clearing. Once he lands the transformation happens in reverse and he is once more as we know him.

Silently he walks through the moonlit woods as if he belongs there. The path he takes is more of a game trail than an actual path and Janis breathes the scent of wild plants and animals in deeply. Suddenly he strikes – taking a huge bite off a shrub that he’s gotten close enough to.
