EXT. A FOREST -DAY
Alice continues to follow a silent Alexander. The part of the forest they've reached is very QUIET. The only sounds are the snapping twigs and undergrowth CRUNCHING as they walk through.
Alexander keeps his back to her.
Meanwhile, the trail is becoming more and more overgrown. Foliage sticks out near Alice's feet and tries to catch onto her clothes.
Alice
(quietly)
Where are we going?
WHACK! She is unable to stop a tree branch from hitting her in the face.
When she recovers from the small blow, Alexander has disappeared, as if swallowed up by the forest.
The trail also seems to be swallowed up.
Alice stands in the strange silence, then turns around to head back, presumably, the way she came.
She doesn't get far before noticing that she isn't really on any trail.
So, she goes back to the site of the offending tree branch to look for the guy she had been following.
