Mae has just been dumped by her fiance, Trent, and plans to break the news to her family while visiting them over the 4th of July. Things change, however, when she is welcomed home with a surprise engagement party and the news that her ex-boyfriend, Decker (AKA the one who got away), has just returned from England and is staying in her parents basement/den while he looks for an apartment.
Confused and embarrassed Mae can't bring herself to tell everyone that she has been dumped...again and finds herself pretending to be engaged to one ex while falling back in love with another.
Eventually, Mae will have to face the truth, but will it allow her to get what (or rather who) she wants or cause her to lose everything all over again...
