An Excerpt from ¡Esperanza!
After his parents split over lack of funds, 12-year-old Adam saves his money so that maybe - just maybe - his mom will come home. But when it's revealed that his transvestite neighbor has a (stolen) Colombian jewel known only as La Esperanza, well, maybe Adam can get mommy home sooner than expected...that is, if the original thieves don't steal the $50 mil rock first.
