An Excerpt from We Are The Pigs
EXT. STREAM. DAY.
IRIS, looking like a little doll in her black dress and pigtails, is playing down by the stream with AMELIA, a tall blonde girl with watchful bird of prey eyes. They are collecting daisies and making daisy chains. Already several hang around their necks.
AMELIA
Is that enough now? Do we have one for everyone? What about Ursula?
IRIS
Hmm. I think so. One... Two... three... hmm.
AMELIA
What were you saying just then?
IRIS
What? Saying?
AMELIA
You were talking. Something about Chloe and Miss Julius.
IRIS
Oh. I thought I could hear them talking to me.
Amelia silently twists daisies into another chain.
AMELIA
The voices again, was it?
IRIS pauses, looks up and nods quickly, then her eyes dart over AMELIA’s shoulder.
AMELIA (CONT’D)
You know, you really should-
DAVID, a thin blond boy with an infectious laugh, appears behind AMELIA giggling. The girls both look around.
DAVID
You should see your bottom Millie! It’s all wet. Absolutely soaking!
