Reaching 100 Pages
When you've reached 100 pages....
This forum is for tips and tricks for how to GET to 100 pages. :) Once you've hit 100 pages, it's time to win! Congrats, you've won Script Frenzy! Now, let's make it official.
We have a ton of FAQs to help you through the process. Be sure to read them! They really are frequently asked questions.
First, you'll need to make sure to create a PDF file for your script to upload to the word count validator. If you have multiple scripts to win with, you'll need to combine them into one document.

Screnzyisms 2011
Serendipitous, humorous, prolific, erroneous verbosity, Script Frenzy style!
For those who have no idea what I'm talking about, Screnzyisms are the Script Frenzy version of an ancient NaNoWriMo tradition. Sometimes, when you're writing at lightspeed, your fingers slip, your caffeine-hazed brain mixes up words, or a turn of phrase ends up turning into something of a trainwreck, resulting in something... bizarre. Sometimes funny, always off the wall, this is the place to share them!

Important things you learn when writing
What are some important things you've learned about youself through writing?
I've learned that I can't wread my own writing.
I've also learned that it's hopeless to try and decipher my writing when I've written backwards so no one else can read it. hah.
Second time around
For those that missed the 100th mark like myself, I was 11 pages away!
Anyway to make up for losing this year's script frenzy I've decided to prepare myself and work hard for NaWriMo this year. I originally signed up in 2009 but I stopped halfway and last year well... didn't work out either so I'm determined to make it this year.
Anyone else entering?
__________________________We who have not given up yet salute you.
Earlier today, I was at 46 pages. Now I'm at 58. I have not given up yet. It's 6 PM. Last November, to reach my personal goal (which to be fair was a lot more than 50k) I was still writing at 11.
If there is still time on the clock, don't give up!
Write on, fellow strugglers! (And don't be afraid to change your fontface to Courier New instead of Courier or double space between all periods, or other devious page-stretching tricks.)
I WILL HURL MYSELF ACROSS THAT 100 PAGE GOAL.
__________________________How I will win - I will lie to myself
Okay, like many others here, I finished my story far too early. I'm on page 90, and the bad guys have already been vanquished. I've got a lot of threads to wrap up, which is good, but, ten pages (ten percent of the script!) is a lot of time to spend after the plot is over!
But I don't care. I'm going to fool myself into thinking that I'm really still in the middle of the movie, so it's completely appropriate to stretch the content out into long wordy dialogue instead of wrapping up quickly and letting the audience go home.
__________________________Sprinting!
So, I fell behind this April after starting late. With 53 hours left..I still intend to win!
My proposed method of reaching 100 pages:
4 pages every hour for 22.5 hours.
With 52 hours left to win, I should even have time for sleep.
Maybe.
Wish me luck :D
__________________________It helps to have a character that likes to listen to music
There are a lot of "monologues" of my MC talking about random stuff. (The MC in question didn't get out much and was somewhat of an introvert.) Unfortunately, they kept running out of stuff to talk about and some of the monologues were pretty long. However, what I found helped speed things up a bit is to have the character listening to music from time to time, even if only on You Tube. What I did was have one line indicating where a song began, followed by speaking through the song until the song was over, and then having a line indicating that the song had ended.

not long enough
I am just about done and I am not going to hit 100 pages.
I think I will hit about 80. OH NO!!
__________________________Writing Hat!
Ok, sometime in the past, there was a thread about what things people used/did/wore/sat-upon while writing, and I decided to try a Writing Hat.
I reinstated my hat this year, and it (plus minimizing the software choice to Word with templates) is working!
Having my hat on tells my family that I'm writing, and it does help keep distractions to a minimum.
Anyone else have an unusual writing "necessity"?
