Q: Dan, you recently came on board the OLL train as Tech Manager and all-around website wellness guru. Because all that coding, bug-squashing lingo is a little beyond me (and, I suspect, most Frenzy Folk), I'd like to talk more about the things our participants want to know. For instance, what is your favorite movie? Do you read graphic novels? Do you have an opinion on the film adaptation of Watchmen? Do you go to plays? Have you already written and/or sold the rights to a hit TV series? Enlighten us.
A: Yes, I understand. No one really wants to hear about my time spent (lost)
reading about new web paradigms and software design constructs.
As far as films go, I'm a sucker for responsibly sensationalized documentaries and impossible-to-follow indie flicks. But, above all other genres, I love comedy. In fact, a large portion of my top titles is made up of
such films. Currently and forever, Brain Candy and Blazing Saddles are in
contention for the number-one spot. Wit can win me over, but give me d!@k-and-fart jokes any day of the week.
I used to have a desire to write sketch-comedy until I concluded that my ideas of comedy aren't funny to other people. If you see someone in line at the grocery store otherwise appearing sane but laughing to himself, it may be me.
