An Excerpt from Perfect

The stage is clear of everything except for two people, EMILY BECKET, stage right, and CRISTOPHER ROBINSON, stage left. They are illuminated by two white lights: one above EMILY’s head and one above CRISTOPHER’s. The entire time, the two talk only to the audience and take no notice of each other.

BOTH: Hello. My name is-

EMILY: Emily Becket.

CRISTOPHER: Cristopher Robinson.

BOTH: I tried to kill myself today.
