SEAN CARREY
Do you often have that affect on women?
EDWARD MANNING
I am married.
SEAN CARREY
But your wife, can't she tell that you're a bit of a killjoy?
EDWARD MANNING
Are you still having problems closing the deal?
SEAN CARREY
I find it difficult to reach common ground with Brooklyn. Maybe it's something I need to discuss with a therapist.
EDWARD MANNING
I'll be sure to refer you to the next one should we ever see Earth again.
SEAN CARREY
That was a little cold, man.
EDWARD MANNING
I don't judge. I merely listen. Is there anything else you would care to rant about or shall we close our evening?
SEAN CARREY
I wasn't chosen to go on tomorrow's little tour.
EDWARD MANNING
Can you fault her choice for not picking you? (smiles politely at two women passing in the hallway)
SEAN, meanwhile, stares and whistles after them.
EDWARD MANNING
And you wonder why you have problems.
